Instagram now allow creators link multiple reels in a series

Instagram is giving creators a new superpower: the ability to link multiple Reels into a seamless series, making fragmented storytelling a thing of the past. Announced on August 21, 2025, this feature means that creators no longer have to rely on clunky captions urging fans to “come back for part 2” or hope viewers will search their profile for follow ups. Now, with just a tap, related videos can be grouped and presented as an easy-to-follow sequence.

The linking can be done either while adding a caption or retroactively as creators can link Reels they’ve already posted using the overflow menu. Once connected, viewers see a new button at the bottom left of the screen, allowing them to jump straight to the next part in the series. From baking tutorials to multi-part deep dives and story sagas, creators can now keep audiences engaged for longer without breaking the narrative flow.

Meta’s move responds to one of the community’s most common requests and matches similar capabilities long offered by TikTok. Instagram believes the feature will translate into richer stories, longer watch times, and more casual viewers converting into dedicated followers.

No more detective work for fans and no more clunky workarounds for creators as Instagram’s Reels linking series both simplifies discovery and unlocks new creative storytelling in short video.
